Today students worked on getting their Pastoral Care Journals organized during Advisory time.
In Secondary school, organization is a key skill for students to learn, so we take the time to support and teach organization as part of our Pastoral program. With their PC Journals now organized by colorful tabs and a table of contents, students have yet another example of what “good organization” looks like.
You can support our Pastoral program at home by encouraging your children to stick to their homework schedules and checking in with them every so often to see if their learning materials are organized. Sharing your own organizational tools is another great way to let our students see that adults also have to focus on staying organized.
We will be coming back to this topic throughout the year during Advisory time, focusing on everything from being organized with study schedules to keeping work spaces organized and useable. Our aim is organized students!
