We are really happy that we have been able to find a solution so that our older students can still go on a French study week – albeit in Lausanne, Switzerland, and not in Montpellier as originally planned. The tragic event in Nice over the summer made us hold a review and select another location this year. We hope that we can return to France in the future when it is no longer in a state of national emergency. The ABIS team, and especially Francoise Cerdan, has worked very hard at short notice to make this wonderful opportunity possible.
The ABIS team are also working hard to make continuous improvements in almost everything we do as a school. This improvement is really focused by the CIS Accreditation process that we are currently undergoing because it tells us exactly what we need to do to get better. We are busily preparing for an authorisation visit on November 25 – December 1st, but our work on improvement will continue long after that if we are to meet our ambitious goal to become the best school in Oman. What this really means is that we aim to provide the best possible education and development experience for our students and your children.
We are really looking forward to Book Week next week, so everyone can participate in the fun. Feel welcome to involve yourself and dress up and join the parade on Thursday.
