This week we celebrated dot day. Students in both grade one classes made thumb print dot faces. We also read “If you Give a Mouse a Cookie” and looked at the cause and effect for what happens if you give a mouse a cookie, and then we made our own cause and effect cookies. We also had the pleasure of Ms. Simpson coming by to see how clever our grade 1s are in math by doing a counting on lesson. Since they were so clever we moved on to counting on starting with double digit numbers. In UOI, we explored our own identities by looking at the flags of our own countries. Then we drew and wrote about something special in our lives. Have fun next week and see everyone later.
