Welcome back everyone and especially to new parents. It has been a fantastic start to the school year for our students and teachers this week. The new building is wonderful and proving to be a spacious, comfortable learning environment and communal centre. Thank you to Sohar Aluminium and Orpic for your excellent support and financial backing. Also thank you to Head of School, Neil Tomalin, for not giving up on the ‘vision’ when many others would!

We have been working with colleagues on how best to use the space in a way that maximises on the student learning opportunities that we have never had before. We know that this will be a reflective journey for us, and we expect to get better and better over time. I have been hearing some really positive comments from students about the new learning space and, crucially, our new teachers.

The Big Bash planned by our Student Council was very enjoyable today. It was a great opportunity to get together and connect at the beginning of the year. Thank you everybody who was able to attend. In coming weeks we will be finalising all of the school events and putting them on our calendar which is available on the Broadcaster. More to follow next week.

If you have any questions about any aspect of the Secondary school, please email me. I will either answer it myself or direct you to the right person.  l.thompson@abisoman.com

Please note that we will finalise the plan for school clothing sales shortly and inform you by Newsflash. Thank you to all the parents who have already purchased. Our students look smart, ‘cool’ and school ready.

Have a good weekend!
