We have just completed the eighth week before the end of the school year, so just seven to go! Secondary students are either doing exams or preparing for exams and shortly we will share the end of year exam schedule for those not doing IGCSE and Diploma. Just like last year, parents will be able to see what revision has been recommended for students and when they will be assessed, so that they can support from home. Grade 10 have already had their first two maths exams, which seemed to go smoothly. We are now focusing on the Grade 12 IB Diploma exams which begin on Monday. We wish them the best of luck!

The ‘Drive for Drive’ is a project led by Clarissa Nolido (featured photo) to help our students manage their digital files effectively. The goal is for ‘every student to have migrated and organised all of their files onto Google Drive’ by the end of the school year. The project is set up for Grade 6 to 12 and designed to help students store, manage and retrieve their work, which is an essential skill for university and work.

We had some good news in regard to the French DELF exams, where 85% of ABIS students have passed. Congratulations to those who did pass and ‘don’t give up and try again’ to those who didn’t. Effort + determination + smart strategies = success! Thank you Miss Cerdan for supporting this great language initiative.

Well done to the girls and boys basketball teams for playing two great and very close games with Sohar Indian school early this week. Some very good performances from our inexperienced teams. An excellent and healthy rivalry is developing with SIS that will help our students improve. Enjoy the weekend.
