Dear Parents,
This week, we celebrated our current Grade 11 students as they received their MYP eAssessment certificates from last year. We brought them together for a short presentation and refreshments to recognise the work they put into their final year of the Middle Years Programme in Grade 10. Congratulations to every student on this achievement!
Grade 11 Chemistry students visited Vale this week. A tour of the plant showed them how scientific knowledge is applied in the production of iron ore pellets. They heard how safety, sustainability and responsible decisions shape daily work, and discussed the skills needed for careers beyond school. I thank the Vale team for welcoming our students and teachers and making the visit such a valuable learning experience.
Finally, as flu season approaches, please consider speaking with your doctor about seasonal flu vaccination for your family. Doctors recommend vaccination because it can reduce the risk of flu and, if someone does become ill, help reduce its severity. Please also keep children at home when they are unwell so they have time to recover and we can help protect others at school.
Have a lovely weekend.
