This week in Grade 3, students continued building their skills across Literacy, Mathematics, and our Who We Are unit of inquiry. In Literacy, we explored how to identify the main idea and key details in a text. During our unit of inquiry, students became body system experts by choosing a body system they were curious about and beginning their own research to learn more about how it works. In Mathematics, we continued strengthening our understanding of place value by representing numbers in standard, expanded, and number form. Students also practised comparing and ordering numbers, using their place-value knowledge to explain their thinking. It has been wonderful to see students asking questions, making connections, and becoming more confident in sharing what they know.
