Dear Parents and Students,

Tomorrow morning, as a school community, we will gather to say farewell to the staff and students who are leaving ABIS at the end of this academic year.

This year we say goodbye to a number of valued members of our teaching team: Dorothy Banas, Matt Cromwell, Kristina Hafseth, Marek Andrasko, Michael de Maranville, Rachel MacLugash, Stephanie Batley, Sylvia Arresola, and Viviana Rojas.

Collectively, these teachers have contributed many years of service to ABIS. They have supported students both inside and outside the classroom, contributed to the life of the school, and helped shape the positive learning environment that our community enjoys today. We are grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to our students and school.

A special mention must go to Michael de Maranville, who has served as our Diploma Programme Coordinator and teacher. Michael has made a significant contribution to the development of the Diploma Programme and to the success of countless students over the years. His commitment, expertise, and support of both students and colleagues have been greatly appreciated, and he leaves with our sincere thanks and best wishes.

To all of our departing staff, thank you for your service to ABIS. Wherever your next journey takes you, we wish you happiness, success, and fulfilment. Thank you for the contribution you have made to our school and to the lives of our students. You will always be welcome members of the ABIS community.

We also say farewell to a number of students and families who will be leaving Oman and continuing their educational journeys elsewhere. While we are always sad to see members of our community leave, we are grateful for the time they have spent with us and the contributions they have made to school life.

To our departing students, I hope you leave ABIS with many positive memories and lasting friendships. As you move on to new schools and new opportunities, remember the ABIS Learning Pact: Challenge Yourself, Involve Yourself, Be Your Best. We wish you every success for the future.

While we say goodbye to some members of our community, we also look forward to welcoming new teachers who will join us in August. We are delighted to have appointed a talented group of experienced educators who will continue to strengthen our IB programmes and enrich the learning experiences of our students. Their profiles can be viewed here.

Please join me in thanking our departing staff and students for their contributions to ABIS and wishing them every success in the future.

Warm regards,

Dominic Robeau
