Dear Primary Families,

This week marked the end of the final round of our After School Activities (ASAs) for the year. Over the course of the school year, it has been wonderful to see the engagement, enjoyment, and enthusiasm students have brought to such a wide variety of activities.

This year, students have spent afternoons building paper planes, solving puzzle challenges, creating stop-motion videos, stacking cups at incredible speed, learning chess strategies, cooking, crafting, swimming, scoring goals in football, competing in badminton and table tennis, practising yoga poses, reading together, exploring Arabic studies, designing art projects, joining beginner’s wind band, throwing frisbees, tackling maths games, and twisting Rubik’s cubes into submission… and that is only some of what has been on offer!

A huge thank you goes to the teachers for their creativity, imagination, and willingness to offer such a diverse range of experiences for our students. Thank you also to the students for their participation and commitment throughout the year. ASAs are a fantastic opportunity for students to be risk-takers, try something new, work alongside students from different classes and grades, and continue developing important social skills and friendships. We look forward to finding ways to continue strengthening and developing the ASA programme next year.

After the upcoming Eid break, we will return for the final three weeks of the school year. There is still much to look forward to, including the KG1–Grade 2 Summer Concert, the Grade 3–Grade 6 Summer Concert, and our Grade 6 Graduation Ceremony.

Although next week is only a two-day school week, we are very much looking forward to the Grade 6 TEDx presentations on Monday. We thank Ms. Zahra, Mr. Matt, Ms. Meerah, and Ms. Mary Ann for all their work in preparing students for these talks, and we are excited to hear the students share their ideas and perspectives.

As we head into the Eid Al Adha break, we would like to wish all members of our community a happy and peaceful Eid. We hope the holiday provides families with time to rest, celebrate, and enjoy being together with loved ones.

We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Sunday, 31st May.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and Eid break.

Best regards,
Matthew
Primary Team Lead
