This week’s highlight was, of course, our Digital Citizenship Exhibition on Tuesday. Students put a great deal of effort into developing their inquiry questions, researching their chosen topics, synthesising their notes, and preparing to present their learning. They did an excellent job and should feel very proud of what they achieved. A big thank you as well to all families who supported their children in preparing and practising for the event. It was wonderful to see the students sharing their knowledge so confidently.
Towards the end of the week, we turned our attention back to other areas of learning. In maths, students have been exploring shape and space, as well as number, while in literacy, we have continued developing our realistic fiction narratives.

Looking ahead, next week we will begin our final Unit of Inquiry for Grade 5 under the transdisciplinary theme Where We Are in Place and Time. The central idea for this unit is: Curiosity adds to our understanding of our place in the universe. Students will explore how space exploration has impacted our everyday lives (please see the attached unit flyer for more details). We will begin with a provocation to spark curiosity about space before moving into activities that help students tune into this exciting new unit.
Best wishes,
Mr. G & Miss Megan
