This week, secondary students have continued to make strong progress in both their swimming and gymnastics units. In swimming, the focus has been on developing technique across different strokes, with particular attention given to body position, breathing, and overall efficiency in the water. Students have been working through targeted drills to refine these skills, while also building confidence and consistency over longer distances. It has been encouraging to see students applying feedback and showing noticeable improvement in their control and coordination.
In gymnastics, students have been further developing their routines, with an emphasis on linking movements smoothly and demonstrating control throughout. They have been exploring a range of balances, transitions, and shapes, and are beginning to structure their sequences with greater thought and creativity. There has been a clear focus on performance quality, including body tension, presentation, and precision.
Across both activities, students have shown positive engagement and a willingness to challenge themselves. As the units progress, students will continue to refine their techniques in swimming while developing more complex and polished gymnastics routines.
