Dear KG2 Families,
As always, we are happy to share our learning from this week.
In our Unit of Inquiry “How We Express Ourselves,” the children worked on their favorite story elements from The Very Cranky Bear and The Gingerbread Man. It was lovely to see how they shared their understanding—some children drew pictures, while others added labels or simple words.
We also introduced a storyboard for The Gingerbread Man. The children enjoyed retelling the story using puppets and acting it out. It was wonderful to see their confidence and creativity.
In Phonics, we introduced the letter Zz. The children enjoyed the story and song and had fun making the “zzzzz” sound with actions.
In Math, we began learning about position words such as in, on, under, and behind. We will continue to explore these concepts through more activities.
