I hope this message finds you well. As we progress through this term, our students are moving into the final synthesis of their current units, demonstrating both their theoretical knowledge and their creative application.
Our MYP music students are currently focused on documenting and finalizing their work. Here is an update on their progress this week:
- All Grades (7, 8, and 9): Analysis and Critical Thinking – Students across these year groups are currently working on deep analysis of their respective musical genres. This process is helping them develop essential critical thinking skills as they evaluate how musical choices impact an audience.
- Music Literacy and Differentiation: In addition to their unit-specific work, students are progressing in their knowledge of notes on the music staff. This foundational skill is also being used as a tool for differentiation, ensuring every student is challenged at their individual level of technical proficiency.
- Grade 10: The e-Portfolio: Our Grade 10 students have reached a major milestone. They are now in the final stages of the e-Portfolio, consolidating their recordings, analysis, and process journals into their final submission. This stage represents the culmination of their hard work and artistic development over the course of the MYP.
