A lovely post PYPX week in G6 transitioning back into our regular book clubs, writing sessions and mathematical studies. This week we put on our creative hats and began some descriptive writing by drawing a ‘monster’. In maths, we began classifying 2D and 3D shapes and our building our understnading specific mathematical vocabulary words. Also, reviewing our year long ‘How We Organise Ourselves’ central idea – ‘Many factors cause us to grow as individuals and as a community.’ This is an excellent stage of the year to review what makes a strong community and what we can do in the coming weeks to become closer and more successful. The class participated in lots of team building games to help us reflect on what a successful community needs.
