Today we went on a really great trip to Sohar Fort to meet the archeologists that are digging and finding out about the history of Sohar. This experience connected brilliantly with our current unit and the students were able to ask their questions and gain a better understanding of how artefacts are found and how we use them to find out about the past.
Next week, during Oman Week, some of the archeologists will come into school to share their experience. We will also start finding out about communication, architecture and entertainment in ancient civilizations like Greece, Egypt, Rome, China, Maya and Mesopotamia.
