This week, our Grade 10 MYP Art students continued unpacking their e-portfolio unit, Embracing Uniqueness, through mind map exploration and researching artists and artworks for inspiration. Our statement of inquiry is: “Beauty and uniqueness are found in our differences.”
Student Spotlight
Several students impressed us with their creativity by blending traditional Omani-inspired motifs with modern urban design. Their innovative approaches sparked engaging discussions about how art can shape the way we understand and celebrate individuality.
Looking Ahead
Next week, students will begin planning and sketching initial ideas for their final artworks, applying their experimentation into cohesive designs. These pieces will represent their interpretation of the overall theme while reflecting the unique aesthetics of the Gulf region.
