We hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Although it has been a short week, it has been packed with Exhibition learning.
This week, we have been diving back into our individual inquiry projects and building momentum to bring our inquiries to life. Students have begun designing, testing, experimenting, building, and creating artefacts connected to their topics, linked to our second line of inquiry. They are also collecting data to help drive their inquiries forward.

A key focus this week has been communication skills. Students have been reflecting on their inquiry journeys—how their topics began and what they have learned so far. They have been practising sharing their understanding by speaking about their topics every day. We have also been playing charades to help students think about body language, eye contact, and using their voices in engaging ways.
If you have a chance, please chat with your child about their inquiry at home. The more they can talk through their learning, the more confident they will feel on the day.
In Seesaw this week:
- Communication skills
- LOI 2 Updates and areas that the students would like help with from their teachers and parents
Parent PYPx Open House
If you are free, we warmly invite you to come into Grade 6 on Tuesday 20th January between 8 and 9am and to see how the inquiries have evolved. This is a great opportunity for you to see the process and the students in the middle of their work. This is the last date to see them, before the finale on Tuesday 10th February.
Next Week
- Finishing LOI 2 and looking ahead to LOI 3
- Focusing on our Exhibition road map
- Considering the change and responsibility concepts
- Pondering what engaging and immersive experiences we can create
