Dear Secondary Families,

What an amazing week we have had, and a perfect way to close before our Winter Holiday and the halfway point of the academic year.

This week has truly showcased the breadth of learning and talent across our school. We have seen students perform and present across a range of disciplines, including our wonderful Winter Concert featuring our musicians, the Visual Arts Exhibition highlighting student creativity, and our Primary and Secondary Sports Days, which brought great energy and excitement to the campus.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our staff who worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to plan and deliver these events. I would also like to thank our families for taking the time to attend and support them. These occasions are always a highlight of the year and provide students with meaningful opportunities to showcase their talents, confidence, and growth.

Our Sports Days were a particularly special way to bring the whole school together. They reflected the positive spirit of competition within our house system, with students encouraging one another, demonstrating teamwork, and showing pride in their houses. Events like these are not just about physical performance, but about belonging, collaboration, and school community, values that sit at the heart of our IB philosophy.

Moments like this also remind us why the International Baccalaureate programme provides such a strong framework for learning. It allows students to explore and excel across a wide range of fields, while developing the skills, attributes, and attitudes that prepare them for life beyond the classroom.

When we return after the break, Semester 1 Reports will be issued at the end of the first week. Teachers have been working hard this week to complete final assessments and write these reports, which will provide a clear overview of each student’s attainment and Approaches to Learning during the first half of the year. This will be followed by Parent Teacher Conferences in the second week back, giving you the opportunity to discuss these reports in more detail with teachers.

Finally, I would like to wish you all a restful, enjoyable, and well-deserved winter break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the second half of the year.

See you all in 2026.

Warm regards,
Andy Cooper
