Dear Parents,

After a lovely long weekend, we returned refreshed and ready to make the most of these last three weeks before the longer break. The energy has been lively and purposeful across all classes.

Grade 7s explored hobbies as the final puzzle piece in describing themselves.
They have now completed their Criterion A, and next week they will tackle Criterion D (writing) and Criterion C (speaking). It is all coming together beautifully.

Grade 8s worked on their Vox Pop recordings, and I cannot wait to watch all the mini interviews on hobbies and pastimes.
Their infographic (Criterion D) is now complete too. Next week, as a wrap up, we will step back and reflect on the WHY. Why did we study this unit, what was the point, and how does it connect to our lives and to our other subjects.

Grade 9s spent the week preparing for their Criterion C next week. They are ready, confident, and eager to show their progress.

Grade 10s completed their Criterion D with success and are now putting the final touches on their Criterion C for the 11th. The level of collaboration and creativity has been lovely to see.

DP students continued exploring the environment, and what better way to discuss it than by actually being in it.
As you can see in our picture, real surroundings make for richer, more authentic learning.
Amanda was able to join the others outside last week, but this week, she was clearly not outside… she was sitting her mocks. And congratulations to her, she did really well!

A productive, joyful, and thoughtful week, setting us up perfectly for the final stretch of Term 2.

À la semaine prochaine!

Warm wishes,
Miss J
