Dear Secondary Families,
It has been another busy and rewarding week here at ABIS. Our three-way conferences took place over the past few days, and it was wonderful to see students, parents, and teachers coming together to reflect on learning and set goals for the term ahead. These meetings are such an important part of the learning process, as they allow students to take ownership of their progress, celebrate their achievements, and identify clear next steps. I hope you found these conversations both useful and encouraging, and that they helped strengthen the partnership between home and school.
Next week, I’m very much looking forward to joining our Grade 8 Students and Miss Jo for the Sailing Camp with Oman Sail at Mussanah Resort. This trip is part of our Oman Week programme and provides students with an excellent opportunity to develop teamwork, leadership, and resilience while enjoying a range of outdoor activities. It promises to be an exciting and memorable experience for everyone involved.
This week, our Grade 7 students have been taking part in a series of team-building and skills-building activities designed to support their transition into the MYP. They have been learning about collaboration, organisation, and communication, key skills that will help them navigate their new routines with confidence. It has been fantastic to see their enthusiasm and growing sense of teamwork throughout the week.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. I wish all our students and families a restful and happy weekend.
