KG2 Weekly Update 🌟
Welcome back, everyone! We hope you all had a lovely, restful break. The children came back full of excitement as we started our new Unit of Inquiry — How the World Works: Being a Scientist Through Our Senses!
This week, we explored our five senses and created a fun science sensory corner in the classroom. The dark tent with flashlights was a big hit! The children loved discovering and talking about what they could see, hear, smell, touch, and taste.
Next week, we’ll focus on our sense of sight — exploring light and dark, day and night, and learning how light helps us see. We’ll also begin our /e/ sound in Jolly Phonics, start exploring 2D shapes, and read the story Mouse Shapes.
It’s been a wonderful start to our new unit — we’re so proud of our curious little scientists! 🧪👀✨
