Every day, our young learners eagerly mark off the days they’ve spent in Grade 1, and today we celebrated our 43rd day of learning. As we gathered together, we took a moment to reflect on how much they have grown, not only in their thinking and understanding, but also in their friendships and social skills. It fills me with pride to see their progress and to have the privilege of teaching such a wonderful group of students.
Today, your child will bring home their progress report. Please take some time to review it, and if you have any questions or would like any clarification, feel free to reach out. I’m also excited to share some photos from our learning journey this week, capturing moments of curiosity, collaboration, and joy.
This week, we have been practising skip counting by twos up to 30. In our Unit of Inquiry, we have been focusing on developing social and self-management skills. The students have taken time to reflect on what they learned throughout this unit and have each chosen a personal goal to continue working on. After the holiday, we will begin an exciting new unit of inquiry together.
As we head into the break, I would like to wish you and your family a wonderful and restful holiday.
