Week 7 has been full, active and bursting with learning activities and experiences. Students have also had to cope with vaccinations and were exceptionally brave so this did not stop them from learning either!
Our Unit is about the students getting to know each other as they talk, play and share ideas… but the teachers can do this too. After seeing a great idea for Venn diagrams which connects to our Unit in G1B, I thought we could do the same activity in G1C. Venn diagrams involve sorting and displaying things that have the same and different properties or attributes. Students talked to each other to discover things they had in common and things that were different after seeing an example done by their teachers. They worked very well with different partners, tried hard to find similarities and differences and produced great diagrams.
