1. This week, our Grade 7 students have been busy acting as professional graphic designers, bringing their unique business ideas to life! The challenge was to solve a common business problem: how to create a memorable brand identity. After researching and sketching four logo concepts—each combining specific shapes, lettering, and imagery—students are now transforming their strongest design into a 3D bas-relief clay sculpture. It has been a fantastic week of hands-on creativity and sculpting in the design studio.
  2. Student Spotlight: A special shout-out to the six students who have already advanced to the glazing stage! Their focus and careful craftsmanship have paid off, and they are leading the way as we move into the final steps of bringing color and a professional finish to their logos. Well done!
  3. Looking Ahead: Next week, the kiln will be busy as we begin firing the glazed logos to complete the ceramic process. Once all the sculptures are finished, our young designers will prepare to present their final work, explaining how their design choices effectively communicate their business’s unique brand and stand.
