Dear Parents,
I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am writing to share an update on the progress and recent milestones achieved in our music classes.
In Grade 7, students have successfully covered the theoretical concepts of minor scales, adding depth to their understanding of melody and harmony. They are now moving into the exciting phase of composition, where they will apply their knowledge to create original pieces for their “Music for Video Games” unit.
Our Grade 8 students have been very productive. They successfully performed their chosen songs on their individual instruments, showcasing their practical skills. Furthermore, they have officially started the compositional process by recording their work and ideas in Garageband.
Finally, the Grade 10 students have successfully finished the performances of the songs they have been rehearsing. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to demonstrate their technical and interpretive skills in front of the class.
It is wonderful to witness the students’ sustained effort and creativity across all grade levels as they continue their musical journey.
