Dear Parents,
I’m writing to provide an update on the progress of our students’ Service as Action and CAS projects.
In the Middle Years Programme (MYP), students have embarked on the planning phase of their projects. It has been great to see how consciously they have considered their local context, coming up with interesting ideas that demonstrate a true commitment to making an impact. They are currently focusing on the first stage of Service as Action—Planning—and have started their initial entries in their ManageBac portfolios. It’s truly inspiring to see the creative and thoughtful projects they are proposing.
For our Grade 11 students, we have begun the interview process. This is an important milestone where we sit down with each student to discuss their project ideas, set clear goals, and ensure their plans align with the seven CAS Learning Outcomes. The students have been preparing well for these conversations, and it’s a great opportunity for them to articulate their vision for the year.
Our Grade 12 students have been working diligently on their reflections, a key component of their CAS portfolios. They are connecting their experiences to the Learning Outcomes, reflecting on their personal growth, the challenges they faced, and the successes they achieved throughout their journey. These reflections are a powerful way for them to synthesize their learning and demonstrate their development.
Thank you for your continued support as the students take on these valuable and meaningful experiences.
