This week, our art students have been hard at work completing Criterion C: the creation of their final artworks.

  • Grade 7 students, in their unit Nature in Printmaking, are experimenting with multiple prints to achieve the best results. They are focusing on demonstrating effective use of skills and techniques learned throughout the unit.

  • Grade 9 students are putting the finishing touches on their self-portraits inspired by their own selfies. Those who have completed their final piece are now writing their artist’s intention to accompany their resolved exhibition text.

Student Spotlight:
We would like to recognize our Grade 7 students for their persistence in experimenting with different print outcomes, and our Grade 9 students for showing creativity and individuality in their self-portraits.

Looking Ahead:
Next week, students will shift their focus to reflection and commentary, where they will evaluate their process, artistic choices, and final outcomes.
