This week students have had some very settled, calm and hard-working mornings which are always the best time to learn! We have done our sounds, numbers, tally counting and venn diagrams. Many students are helping to do registration by greeting their friends and several have explained the daily timetable or changed the date. This shows they are understanding their school environment and our routines.
We have really thought hard about sharing and cooperating together to learn more effectively and build a positive classroom atmosphere. Many students are actively choosing to do tasks together- both academic and classroom tasks like tidying up. These are very encouraging signs of growth and ownership of their classroom and caring for each other.
The children really enjoyed making a paper hat for the sound ‘h’ and were amazing at listening to and following step-by- step instructions. We continue to talk about our class agreements daily and have made more photos to help us remember- G1C have done their best this week!
Happy weekend to all!
