Here’s a quick look at the incredible progress our students made this week. It was a period of deep dives and new discoveries across all grades, and we couldn’t be more proud of their efforts.
Grade 11 Physics: Gaining Momentum!
Our Grade 11 physicists took their first steps as independent scientists by writing their own self-guided lab reports. This hands-on experience is building a fantastic foundation for their Internal Assessment and helping them see the laws of physics in action. Their understanding of the subject matters!
Grade 12 Physics: Things are Heating Up!
In Grade 12, things were full steam ahead as students dove into the world of Thermodynamics. After a quick refresher on heat exchange, they started exploring thermodynamic processes and interpreting P-V graphs. They’re learning how to stay cool even when the problems are under pressure!
Grade 11 AA Math HL: Finding the Right Combination!
Our HL Math students found the right combination for success this week, tackling the complexities of Permutations and Combinations. They skillfully navigated tricky “and” vs. “or” scenarios and even used a clever “reverse psychology” approach to solve problems by eliminating what’s not needed. You can count on them to find creative solutions!
Grade 11 AA SL Math: Expanding Their Range!
The SL Math students are truly expanding their range by exploring the concepts of Domain and Range. While looking at math from a more theoretical viewpoint is a new challenge, they are tackling it with great curiosity. It’s fantastic to see their understanding of what a function can do functioning so well.
Grade 12 Math AA HL: Proving Their Prowess!
It was assessment week for our Grade 12 HL Math student, who officially proved their skills in a summative assessment on Mathematical Induction. It’s wonderful to see the ‘domino effect’ of their consistent hard work paying off in such a decisive way!
Grade 12 Math AASL/HL: The Odds are in Their Favor!
The Grade 12 class is learning that when it comes to “Probability,” the odds are always in their favor if they understand the math! They spent the week exploring the concept of fairness in games, providing a fun and practical lens through which to apply their knowledge of chance.
From pressure and probability to momentum and mathematical proofs, it was a week packed with powerful learning. We can’t wait to see what they’ll achieve next!
