This Week in Our Learning:
This week, our Grade 10 MYP Art students continued developing their Utopia unit by experimenting with acrylic paints to design an ideal background for their final artwork. Acting as architects, students explored how the aesthetic style of the local environment can influence well-being and community identity. Their focus has been on composition and style as they refine ideas for their final artworks.

Student Spotlight:
Several students impressed us with their creativity in blending traditional Gulf-inspired motifs with modern urban design. Their innovative approaches sparked engaging discussions about how art can shape the way communities live and connect.

Looking Ahead:
Next week, students will begin planning and sketching their final mixed media artworks, applying their experimentation into cohesive designs. These pieces will represent their vision of the “perfect community” while reflecting the unique aesthetics of the Gulf region.
