Dear KG2 Families,

We are happy to share this week’s update about our little ones. We are so proud of them for settling into school routines and becoming familiar with their classroom. Each day, their happiness and enthusiasm remind us how much they enjoy being at school, and it is truly wonderful to see.

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for the Parent Information Night. It was a great opportunity to meet, share conversations about the school program, and talk about the expectations that will support the children as they grow and learn.

This week our learning was full of joy and discovery:

Mathematics: We introduced numbers and worked on number recognition. The children learned how to form a number 1 with a simple rhyme: “Start at the top and down we run, that’s how we write a number one.” They also explored the number using ten frames.

Literacy: We focused on children’s names. They explored the beginning sound of their names and counted how many letters they have. We used “exit tickets” with their names to support transitions during the day. We also introduced the sound /s/ with its action, and the children enjoyed listening to a story and song to help reinforce the sound.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We wish you a restful long weekend and look forward to seeing our learners back on Monday, 8th September.

Warm regards,

Ms.AlJabri & Ms.Maryam
