• We have started our first unit, which is a unit on film analysis. We have started by looking at film clips and discussing the ways that directors and film makers communicate their message through camera techniques, the dialogue, and other means.
2. Looking Ahead:
• In the coming week, we will continue to learn more about film. We will be moving into our first formative assessment where students will choose a movie clip and write a paragraph analyzing how the film achieves a particular purpose. The goal with this task is to help strengthen the students ability to use specific details to reinforce their interpretations.
