Dear Secondary Families,

It has been a wonderful start to the school year in Secondary. From the very first day, our students have come back full of energy, enthusiasm, and a readiness to learn. It has been fantastic to see how engaged they have been across lessons, advisory, and activities this week.

One of the highlights has been moving into our new faculty-based learning spaces. Instead of being organised purely by grade level, our students are now working within areas dedicated to subject faculties. This has already created a strong sense of identity in each subject, while also encouraging collaboration across grades. Teachers have commented on how well the students have adapted to the change, and the atmosphere in the classrooms has been very positive.

I am also really looking forward to welcoming you all to our Parent Information Evening next week. This will be a valuable opportunity for you to meet your child’s teachers, ask any questions you may have, and see our new learning spaces.

The commitment and focus shown by both staff and students in these first few days give me every confidence that we will have a productive, successful, and enjoyable year together.  I look forward to sharing more of our journey with you as the term unfolds and thank you for your continued support.

You will soon be receiving further details about our After School Activity (ASA) program, which will begin the week of Sunday, 7th September. A wide variety of activities will be available, and we encourage you to talk with your child(ren) about the ones they may enjoy.

Warm regards,

Andy Cooper
