As we reach the end of another school year, I want to take a moment to express what an absolute pleasure it has been to teach your children. I truly enjoyed getting to know each and every student, their unique personalities, sense of humor, and that wonderful drive to learn that made every day meaningful.
We made some wonderful memories together. Our field trip to the Sohar Fort was a wonderful day. Meeting the archaeologists was such a treat and brought our learning to life in a big way. Our day at the beach was full of smiles and sunshine, playing on the playground, sharing lunch, and feeling the cool water on our feet. And who could forget the fun we had at the Souq? That flash sale was a hit, nothing over 1 OMR! The students were so excited, and their budgeting skills got a great workout!
Throughout the year, our Units of Inquiry gave students the chance to explore and express themselves in creative, meaningful ways. We began the year with students presenting their personal boxes. It was such a special way to share who they are and learn about them. From there, we designed community plans that focused on making people feel safe, happy, and healthy. We built homes based on different biomes, and each student created a flip book about their chosen animal, followed by some truly impressive dioramas made at home. In one of our most recent units, students built simple machines right in the classroom. They solved real problems with creative thoughtful designs. And of course, we had some real fun with our Readers Theatre, practicing lines, and building backdrops.
One of the most rewarding parts of this year has been seeing the incredible growth your children made in reading. The progress was phenomenal, and I couldn’t be prouder. Their confidence, fluency, and love of books truly blossomed. Please continue using RazKids over the summer and continue their reading journey.
As I say goodbye, I do so with full confidence that these amazing students are ready to take on Grade 3. I wish them all the best in the year ahead, and I know they will continue to grow, learn, and thrive.
Thank you, families, for your continued support and trust this year. It has been a joy to be part of your child’s learning journey.
