Dear parents,
Last week was a short one, but still a week filled with great effort and learning. The students read their self-created stories to each other. We discovered that reading a story out loud isn’t always easy, using a clear voice and good expression is very important! The students also had a lot of fun writing about their Eid holiday.
I would also like to take a moment to look ahead to next week: Spirit Week! The poster has already been shared with you, but I will include it again just in case.
Each day, the children can come to school dressed up according to the theme of the day. We also have some fun classroom activities planned to celebrate all the hard work from this school year. Here is what next week will look like:
- Sunday: We will start the day with a small pool party. Please send your child to school wearing their swimwear, and pack a towel and extra clothes. After swimming, they can change into their pyjamas, because it’s “Sleepy Sunday.”
- Monday: Children can dress up as their favorite movie character. We will watch a movie in class, and they can bring a soft toy or small pillow for comfort. They may also bring a snack to share, like popcorn or chips (please no chocolate or candy).
- Tuesday: It’s “Twin Day”! Children can match outfits with a classmate. We will also be playing games at school. Your child may bring a game or toy from home to play and share with classmates.
- Wednesday: We will start the morning with an end-of-year assembly in the Mazoon hall. Afterwards, we’ll have a small classroom party. I will provide pizza for the children. Please note that school will finish early on this day at 1:00 PM.
We are looking forward to a fun and joyful final week together!
Kind regards,
Guinee
