Busy Three Days!
Happy to see that many students returned from a long Eid holiday and were still willing to keep learning! Students have shown me how well they can converse in English again this week, from describing their holiday in detail to continuing their reflections on their time in Grade One. They are demonstrating increased independence and pleasing collaborative skills. Reading groups can often organise themselves and read their book and do activities together now. We did some challenging puzzles with the 100 Square in Maths and continued our partner work for Morning Maths sessions. Some students continued the 100 Square Challenge over a few days- such commitment! Students have also read stories to each other, done writing after sequencing pictures to make a story and enjoyed some creative Art time together.
Even though we had just three days, it was packed with learning experiences. However, we are all looking forward to Spirit Week during our final week when we have some extra fun activities like swimming, a movie, shared game sessions and a party planned!
Happy Weekend everyone.
Hope to see you all for our last week in Grade 1!
