Week 36
Dear KG2 Families,
We’re excited to share highlights from another joyful and busy week in our classroom!
This week, through our Unit of Inquiry “How We Express Ourselves,” we explored how stories have a beginning, middle, and end. After modeling this with familiar stories the children brought for Show and Tell: My Favorite Story, the children began to understand how stories are structured and shared their own ideas confidently.
In phonics, we were introduced to the new letter sound “Qq.” The children practiced identifying the sound and had fun during a sensory-based game where one child traced the letter on another child’s back while guessing which letter it was. It was wonderful to see how engaged and excited they were while learning through play!
