Dear KG2 Families,

What a fun and busy week we’ve had together!

We’re continuing our Unit of Inquiry, “How We Express Ourselves,” and this week we introduced the children to “The Stone Story.” They were so curious and excited about this unique kind of story! The goal of this activity is to help the children tell their own simple stories using pictures and build short, meaningful sentences. They did such a great job sharing their ideas.

In math, we’ve been learning all about 3D shapes, and this week we focused on the cube. We talked about how it has 6 faces and 8 corners. To bring the learning to life, the children built their own cubes using playdough and toothpicks — it was messy, creative, and lots of fun!

For phonics, we explored the letter W. The children practiced the sound, learned how to write it, and made their very own paper watch craft to go along with it. They loved showing off their creations!

A little reminder: Please take a moment to check the Show and Tell schedule so you know when it’s your child’s turn to bring a story to share.

And lastly, don’t miss out on this week’s photo highlights! Click the link to see some lovely snapshots of our week in action. Week 31

Wishing you all a restful and relaxing weekend.

Warm regards,
Ms. AlJabri & Ms. Maryam
