Dear Parents,
What a wonderful and busy week of learning we’ve had in Grade 1.
In Math, we explored fact families and how numbers are connected through addition and subtraction. We also continued practicing place value, helping students understand the value of each digit in a number. The children enjoyed discovering how numbers work in different ways.
In Literacy, we started mapping out our own stories — the first steps toward writing our very own books! The students thought carefully about their main character, the setting, a problem, and a solution. It’s been amazing to see their creative ideas.
This week was also Book Week, and we had fun celebrating our love for reading! We enjoyed buddy reading with Grade 3, swapped books with our friends, and had a dressing up as our favorite book characters.
Finally, a big thank you to all the parents who joined us for the Student-Led Conference. We truly appreciate the time and effort you took to come and celebrate your child’s learning with them.
