Ramadan Kareem!
This week, the students shared their knowledge about Ramadan and we wrote an acrostic poem together which we have been reading to remind us of this special time and how we need to behave during Ramadan. The students drew their own lamps and coloured them which show their progress in controlled work and extended patience with harder tasks.
We began learning about time and have been doing several activities and games to help us with this. We learnt about the parts of a clock and are making our own clock to use as a personal resource in class. Again, this is a long task which teaches students to take care, be committed and show responsibility to look after their work. The students have been naming the parts of a clock, trying to understand the complexities of seconds, minutes and hours and helping each other with this. There were matching and memory games which repeat and reinforce knowledge of o’clock but in a variety of ways. We are also doing Our day with clocks, drawings and this will turn into a reading resource for our book folder at school. Despite a slightly shorter day, we are making the most of our TIME!!
Kind regards to everyone.
