Dear Secondary Families
Our Grade 8 students returned on Wednesday afternoon from their sailing adventure with huge smiles. They all successfully completed their Level 1 training and the first thing they asked me is when can they can back to do their Level 2! For some, this may now be the start of a love of sailing they might not have never realised. I am told by Mr Duncan and Ms Jo that they were an excellent group to work with and they represented themselves and ABIS in a way that means we now have very positive relationships with Oman Sail and Barcelo Resort. Thank you to our Trip Leaders, Providers and of course the Students!
Now it is the turn for our Grade 7 Students to get excited about their Water Sports adventure next week. They will be heading to Sifah Beach on Monday for 3 days of activities. Fingers crossed that the weather will continue to be perfect for us. The Grade 9-11 trip has now been launched for April. They will be heading to Wadi Huqain, Nizwa and Muscat for 4 days of activities, including Hiking, Kayaking, Bowling and visits to cultural hotspots including Forts, Souqs and Museums.
I would like to wish our Grade 10 students success with their Mock Exams next week. This will help to prepare them for their eAssessments later this year. Grade 12 will be receiving their Mock Exam results and feedback on Sunday in order to help them prepare for their final exams.
I hope to see everyone at our International Night on Thursday, February 20 from 4:30–8.00 pm.
Have a lovely weekend
Andy Cooper
