We are excited to invite you to our Primary Swimming Gala on Thursday, February 27, a special event celebrating the progress and achievements of our students in their swimming classes.

This event marks the culmination of their swimming unit, allowing them to showcase their learning in a fun and supportive environment. Participation is compulsory for all students, and they will compete based on their skill levels to ensure fair and encouraging competition.

To accommodate all students and maintain a smooth event, we will have three sessions:

  • First Session (8:20 AM – 9:00 AM) – Grade 4-6 Girls
Only female audiences are allowed, in respect of cultural and religious considerations.
  • Second Session (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM) – K1-Grade 3 Boys & Girls, and Grade 4-6 Boys & Girls
Both male and female audiences are welcome to cheer for their families.
  • Third Session (11:00 AM – 11:30 AM) – Game Relays
    Events:
  • Freestyle Relay
  • Table Tennis Ball Blowing & T-Shirt Relay
    Participants: K1-Grade 3 representatives & Grade 4-6 mixed teams

Students have been grouped according to their swimming abilities:

  • K1-Grade 2:
    • Advanced: 25m Freestyle & Backstroke in the big pool
    • Intermediate: 25m with kickboards and noodles in the big pool
    • Beginners: Small pool with kickboards
  • Grades 4-6:
    • Advanced: 50m Backstroke & Freestyle
    • Intermediate: 25m with kickboards

This event is not a competition but rather a celebration of each child’s progress and effort. We have reinforced this with students throughout the swimming unit and encourage them to participate with confidence.

To ensure a smooth experience, we kindly ask that students arrive at school wearing their swimming attire to minimize congestion in the changing rooms. Additionally, please ensure your child brings a towel or hoodie to stay warm while waiting on the bleachers.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a fantastic day!
