Dear ABIS Families,

I wanted to take a moment to share some updates about what your child has been working on during Physical Education this unit.

We’ve been focusing on Invasion Games, which involve teamwork, strategy, and movement skills. These activities include games like basketball, soccer, and capture the flag, where students learn to collaborate, communicate effectively, and make quick decisions. The goal is to enhance their overall fitness while building essential life skills like leadership, cooperation, and respect for others. It’s been wonderful to see the students’ enthusiasm and growth as they develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment. We encourage you to ask your child about their favorite activities from this unit and how they’re applying the strategies they’ve learned.

For  updates about our ongoing swimming classes, despite the cooler weather, the students are thoroughly enjoying their time in the school’s warm pool, where they are actively learning and refining their swimming skills. These sessions are part of their preparation for our much-anticipated Swimming Gala, which is scheduled to take place in the last week of February. The students have been showing great enthusiasm and determination, and it’s amazing to see their progress and growing confidence in the water.

We’re focused on teaching proper techniques, building stamina, and fostering a love for swimming, all while ensuring they stay comfortable and warm in the pool. It’s heartwarming to witness how much they’re enjoying themselves while learning important life skills.

Thank you for your continued support in encouraging your child to participate.
