Dear Parents and Students,
As we step into the New Year, many of us make resolutions to improve ourselves. These resolutions can be exciting goals, such as trying a new hobby, improving in a subject, or staying healthy. However, it’s important to remember that true success comes from balancing different areas of our lives: mental, physical, and social health.
Mental health is about taking care of our minds. This means managing stress, setting achievable goals, and making time for things we enjoy. Reading, meditating, or talking to someone you trust can help keep your mind healthy.
Physical health involves taking care of our bodies. Regular exercise, eating nutritious foods, and getting enough sleep are all ways to stay physically healthy. Even small steps like taking a walk or drinking more water can make a big difference.
Social health is about building good relationships with others. Spending time with family and friends, being kind, and communicating openly are all important. A strong social circle can support us during tough times and make the good times even better.
As we set our New Year resolutions, we asked our Grade 7 students how they can balance these three areas. Small, steady steps in each will help them grow and thrive in their MYP years. Some examples of their decisions will follow next week.
Have a great year everyone!
