Dear Primary Families,
ABIS Community Fun Run
The ABIS week started early this week, and last Saturday saw the very first ABIS Community Fun Run take place. It was a joyous occasion, with participants ranging from our youngest KG students and their even younger siblings to many parents and even some grandparents!
The event was split into three categories: 2km, 3km, and 5km. Regardless of the distance, it was wonderful to see so many smiles as runners and walkers made their way around the campus and running track. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere tremendously supportive, and the event had such a positive vibe.
I would like to extend a huge thank you and congratulations to all who participated or supported in any way. A special mention goes to Ms. Dorothy, who was the driving force behind this event and shared the initial concept. Let’s hope it’s the first of many such events!
Primary Sports Day
On Tuesday, we held our annual Primary Sports Day, which proved to be another huge success. After weeks of preparation during PE classes with Mr. Fernando, Ms. Dorothy, and Ms. Nuria, the students were ready to give their best for their respective house teams.
The day featured a range of team events that required communication, cooperation, and determination, providing a great challenge for all. The morning was mostly filled with smiles and laughter, and we hope students appreciated that while competitive spirit and winning are important, sportsmanship and teamwork matter just as much.
Save the Date: International Night
When: Thursday, 20th February 2025 | Time: 4:00–7:30 pm
We are thrilled to announce the return of International Night, a celebration of the diverse cultures in our community. The Parent Committee and Student Councils are working together to organize this exciting event, which will feature:
- Delicious food from various cultures.
- Performances showcasing student and parent talents.
Families with a long-standing history at ABIS will remember this as an annual tradition. We are excited to reintroduce it this year and hope it becomes a regular highlight of our school calendar once again.
And Finally …
As we wrap up week 16 of the school year, I know students and teachers are looking forward to the holidays. This term has been packed with memorable events, including the recent Winter Concert and learning celebrations in class.
We hope you feel your children have been well-supported and guided throughout this term. I want to thank you for your continued support and wish you a very enjoyable holiday. I look forward to welcoming you back in the new year!
Best regards,
Matthew
