Dear Parents,

As we reach the halfway point of the academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on December, a busy and rewarding month.

Last Saturday, we held the first ABIS Community Fun Run, where participants from across our community walked or ran the 2km, 3km, or 5km courses. The perfect weather and supportive atmosphere made it a memorable event. Special thanks to Ms. Dorothy for her dedication in bringing this idea to life—a tradition we hope will continue.

This week’s Primary and Secondary Sports Days showcased our students’ teamwork, determination, and school spirit. Primary students enjoyed team challenges fostering collaboration, while Secondary students shone in events such as basketball, volleyball, and relays. A huge thank you to Mr. Fernando, Ms. Dorothy and Ms. Nuria and all the volunteers who contributed to these successful events.

We extend special thanks to Ms. Sanaa, Mr. Marek, and Ms. Hajar for their outstanding work in setting up the Art Display in the LC3 atrium. The exhibit showcased the talents of our students from across the school, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that parents and students have enjoyed over the past two weeks. We are very proud of our students’ creativity and look forward to future art exhibitions.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce the return of International Night on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:30 pm. This celebration of cultural diversity will feature cuisines and performances from our talented students and parents. Whether you’re new to ABIS or a long-time member, we look forward to sharing this memorable evening with you.

Over the past 16 weeks of school I hope you’ve seen the growth and enthusiasm in your children since the beginning of this academic year. Your support has been invaluable in making ABIS a nurturing environment for all.

  • Sunday, January 12: School reopens after the winter break.
