Dear Secondary Families,
The IB MUN (International Baccalaureate Model United Nations) is a student-led conference where participants, typically students from schools offering the IB curriculum, simulate the workings of the United Nations. Delegates represent different countries and engage in debates on global issues, crafting resolutions and negotiating solutions, all while developing public speaking, diplomacy, and critical thinking skills. The event fosters an understanding of international relations and encourages active global citizenship among young leaders.
Last weekend a group of our Secondary Students attended the TSS MUN Conference at the Sultan’s School in Muscat. Each of our students worked hard in preparation for the conference. They are an impressive group of individuals who demonstrated their potential as future leaders. Special congratulations to one of our students who was nominated as the best delegate representing the UAE, assigned to the Security Council! Thank you to Mr Chris and Ms Meeta who organised and attended with the students over the weekend.
Well done to our School Student Council and members of staff who helped to organise ‘Kindness Day’ this week. It was inspiring to see the supportive and positive messages our students shared with each other. Recognizing and celebrating kindness reinforces the importance of empathy and creates a positive school environment where everyone feels valued and respected. By promoting kindness, we’re guiding our students to grow into compassionate, thoughtful individuals who understand the impact of their actions on others—in and beyond the school setting. Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful day a success!
National Day Assembly
On Monday we will celebrate National Day and we ask that students come to school wearing their traditional Omani clothes or clothes in the colours of Oman. In the morning students will take part in a whole school assembly to acknowledge and recognise this important day.
Reminder that school will be closed on the 20th and 21st November for the National Day Holiday.
Have a lovely weekend!
