Dear Secondary Families
The IB DP Arts Exhibition stands as a testament to the culmination of our students’ artistic journeys. This exhibition is not merely a showcase of artworks and performances, but a celebration of the profound impact that art and music has on students’ academic and personal lives. Each creation highlights a skill, concept, technique, or perspective that the students have engaged with over the course of their DP studies. It was lovely to see parents, teachers and students sharing the evening, and we are all very proud of what they have already achieved. This exhibition embodies the essence of the IB DP Arts program, fostering a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation that extends far beyond the walls of our school.
We closed this week with another House Competition. This time Grade 7 took the lead and planned a handball competition. They had clearly put a lot of thought into the activity and it was well planned and well led. All Houses played against each other and the victors today were the Desert Foxes! Well done to all of the students who represented their teams. As we approach the end of the year, any of the Houses could still finish victorious!
Grade 12 exams started this week and we wish them success. Grade 10 and 11 students are now revising for their exams. Hopefully you are seeing them revising at home!
Next week, some of our swimmers will be attending the TAISM Swim Relay Competition in Muscat. We have a number of swimmers who train very hard throughout the week with Nautilus Swimming Club and we are very proud to see them represent school. Good luck to all of them.
I hope that you have a lovely weekend.
