Dear KG 2 Families,
We are pleased with the updates we have been sharing with you this week. In mathematics, our focus remains on numbers and their associated concepts. We have recently gained a thorough understanding of decimal counting, marking a significant achievement in our progress. The students have demonstrated remarkable proficiency in this area. In literacy, we have introduced a new letter, “v,” concentrating on both reading and writing activities. This initiative has yielded positive results, evident in the artistic work produced by the children to reinforce their understanding of the letter. Furthermore, they have learned and utilized two new words from the “we, are” word group, incorporating them into sentences and writing.
In our “Sharing the Planet” unit, we have initiated discussions on the practice of observing, contemplating, and questioning natural phenomena through the framework of “I see, I think, and I wonder.” This approach allows kids to explore the impact of human intervention on natural resources and the potential for change.
Warm regards,
Ms.AlJabri & Ms.Maryam
