Dear Grade 1 Parents,
Last week, we had a fun Oman week planned for the kids. But, sadly, it rained unexpectedly, so we had to delay some activities. Still, despite the changes, the boys made a wonderful ‘Kumma’ and the girls made a mask. We couldn’t take pictures of everything, but we’ve included some snapshots of the kids busy with their projects.
Also, last week was full of exciting learning and happy moments. We finished our unit called “How We Express Ourselves.” The kids worked hard on writing their own stories, and they did a fantastic job! They’ve been learning about the important parts of a story, like characters, setting, problem, and solution. They’re getting better at telling stories and using their imagination, which is amazing to see.
As the holiday break approaches, I hope you and your families have a wonderful and relaxing time. Please remember to continue reading with your child at home during the break. It’s a great way to keep their skills sharp and to foster a love for reading.
